CLAIMS
DETMAR products are carefully inspected and packaged to assure they reach you in perfect condition. Product damage or loss occurring in transit is the responsibility of the carrier. In the event of such loss, the carrier should be advised and the carrier’s notation of damage or shortage secured on the freight bill. It is advisable that claims be filed with the carrier immediately thereafter.
CREDIT
Open account terms will be extended to firms with satisfactory commercial credit ratings. Firms without commercial credit ratings can qualify for open account terms by listing the name of an active bank account and four active credit references on order. To avoid delay in processing an order, we will ship C.O.D if authorized by customer.
RETURNS
Credit will not be issued for materials returned without company authorization. All returned items are subject to a minimum 20% handling charge.
CERTIFICATION
As a member of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), DETMAR designs and manufactures all products to meet or exceed Federal Regulations, ABYC, and ISO Standards. Manufacturers participating in the NMMA Certification Program may rely on DETMAR to be in continuing compliance with NMMA recommendation and ABYC standards.

DETMAR LIMITED WARRANTY
DETMAR Corporation (“DETMAR”) warrants to the original retail purchaser that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of twelve months from the date of original purchase. If any DETMAR product is used commercially or in any rental or other income-producing activities, then this warranty is limited to 90 days from the date of original retail purchase.
This limited warranty does not apply to any product which has been improperly installed, which has failed or been damaged due to accident, unreasonable use or neglect or which has been repaired or modified by persons other than DETMAR. This limited warranty is also void for any products used on an engine/boat combination judged by DETMAR to be an inappropriate application of its product.
DETMAR will at its sole discretion, repair or replace, without charge, any product not meeting this limited warranty which is returned freight pre-paid within the warranty period along with proof of purchase to DETMAR Corporation, 2001 West Alexandrine, Detroit, Michigan 48208. DETMAR products found to be covered by this limited warranty will be repaired or replaced and shipped freight collect to the customer.
NO EXPRESS OR LIMITED WARRANTY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY SHALL EXTEND FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME GREATER THAN TWELVE MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. DETMAR UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL COSTS OR DAMAGES. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty give you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
